Description: Pastor John continues in his series “How To Have Joy In the Lord” in Philippians chapter 2. It is here that Paul points out that true Christian humility is displayed in someone who is mindful of others. This is not at all unlike what we learned last week in regards to being “others minded.” We also see in chapter 2 that true humility serves others, is sacrificial, and glorifies God.

Description: Paul went to Philippi on his second missionary journey as a result of a vision he had of a man from Macedonia beckoning him to come. While he was there a friendship developed that was closer than that which existed between him and any other church. He writes this letter to the church in Philippi while in prison in Rome, as a letter of thanks. Pastor John kicks off a series entitled “How To Have Joy In the Lord” here in chapter 1 of Philippians.
