Vision: Create a welcoming and relaxed environment in which people new to Calvary Chapel Central or those who would like to learn more about Calvary Chapel doctrine, can come together for food and fellowship, and meet our church pastors/leadership, and ask questions and receive general church information.
“Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each one should use whatever gift (s)he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.” 1 Peter 4:9-10
Update: We implemented “Meet the Pastors” Dinners back in March 2006. The dinners were originally set up for new people in our congregation as they began to attend and were in the process of deciding whether to make Calvary Chapel Central their church home. The Lord has used these simple dinners and fellowship times to lead many to not only make a decision to make Central their church home, but also for many to make the decision to become involved in various ministries at the church and begin serving others.
We have recently restructured the “Meet the Pastors” Dinners to a “Meet & Greet” fellowship potluck. Although these Fellowship Potlucks are geared more for the new people/families in our congregation, anyone who has questions about Calvary Chapel Central, Calvary Chapel doctrine, is interested in learning how to become involved at Central, or would like to meet and get to know leadership and others within the church are encouraged to sign up for the next Fellowship Potluck and join us.
