MISSIONS
Mat 28:19-20 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Mat 25:35-40 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’ 37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’
As part of the Great Commission, we are to reach all nations with the gospel of Jesus Christ. For us personally as a church – Missions are a part one of our four-fold vision of Reach – Teach – Mend and Send.
We have prayed for years that the Lord would lead us to the right missions for us to support. There are so many worthwhile needs but we wanted to support missions that were “personal”: people that we had a relationship with, so that we could properly evaluate our involvement.
The Lord has answered our prayers. These are the missionary outreaches we are involved in.
Dawn Hoffman is an Occupational Therapist. She is also a “home grown – Calvary Central” girl that we love and trust! Her outreach is to the children in the orphanages of Romania. Click “Abbas Kids” above and check out her website. Make sure you take a look at the photos of the children.
Dr. Steve and Julie Dorsey are medical missionaries to the Dominican Republic. Steve and Julie have fellowshipped with us for many years and we consider them dear friends. Click “Del Corazon” above to check out their website.
