Dick, has 100% blockage of one carotid artery on one side of his neck & something like 89% blockage on the other side. He needs surgery to fix this, but the doctor has ordered a cardiac stress test first. Please pray for Dick that the stress test goes well and that the surgery is approved. It’s kind of a double-edged sword: he will certainly have a stroke and die without surgery – it’s just a matter of when – yet the same risk exists during surgery if complications occur. With surgery, he would have a chance to extend his life.
